The Fairy and Elf Autumn Equinox Jubilee

Saturday, September 21, 9:30-10:15am

Location: Central Park, Glebe, Ottawa

Ages 4-8, Parents and caregivers are invited to participate.

Natasha invites all fairies and elves and their parent partners to join her in the Central Park, Glebe for a magical class celebrating autumn!   The class begins with a pumpkin patch warm up that evolves into the magic feather dance,  a unicorn hunt and a drawing circle that explores fairy houses and culture. 

Note:  Please bring a picnic blanket, sun hat and water.  Also, participants are invited to bring their own crayons and sketchbooks.  Natasha will have art materials as well.

Class limit: 8 elves and fairies

CREATIVE DANCER CLASSES/AGES 9 & UP

The Moving Sketchbook

Dancing and drawing autumn

Friday 10-10:45am

Dates: Sept 27 through Nov 15 (8 classes/online availability only)

Ages 6 and up

This sky studio class begins with a full body stretch.  It then evolves into the autumn dance.  This dance is a set warm up that can be incorporated into home creative fun.  The music will be provided to all participants.  

The class then does two to three timed drawing exercises followed by a drawing circle that presents 3 autumn inspired class drawing projects.  Drawing circle discussion will center around the use of the sketchbook and its possibilities.  Art historical references are incorporated.  Graphite technique is nurtured for older participants.  Participants are encouraged to share their creative experiences and thoughts about art.  Also, a post class email will be sent including artists mentioned in the class, as well as references.

Dates: Sept 23, Oct 7 & 21, Nov 4 & 18 (5 classes)

Ages 10 through adult

Join Natasha instudio or online for a bi-weekly intergenerational class that presents dance, drawing and reflection as supports and mobilizers for the creative process.  This class begins with an inspiring quote that leads into personal movement improvisation.  There are then 2-3 timed drawing exercises that incorporate play and line.  The class ends with a written reflection that clarifies creative practice.  Note; The class’ inspirational quote will be emailed with the class confirmation/sky studio link email.
Class limit/fee:

Sky studio: 4 devices. Fee: 70$

Instudio: 3 creatives. Fee:  75$
